About the company

Openprovider is an ICANN-accredited domain registrar and technology company founded in 2004 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

We are a fully-remote organization with more than 90 team members spread across 20+ countries.

A diverse and inclusive organization, we support a healthy work/life balance and are constantly looking for new ways to help the well-being of our people. We support a flexible schedule and are 100% performance and result-oriented.

At Openprovider, we're not just a company; we're a mission-driven team dedicated to transforming the domain industry. We believe in providing a trusted digital identity to every business.

Our innovative approach is reshaping the industry from a traditional transactional model to a more customer-centric, subscription-based approach. We pay subscriptions for music, newspapers, and movies - why should domains be any different?

Our vision is to build a place where curious, self-driven people do their best work together, to deliver on our mission: a reliable, free, and secure online world for every customer we serve. Our world is changing fast, especially with AI, and we see that as an opportunity to stay ahead of change, shape it and create more value for our customers.

Our values
  • Be a wolf, not a sheep: we value the entrepreneurial spirit in everyone.
  • Knowledge equals power: we are constantly hungry to learn, for ourselves and our customers.
  • Enjoy what you do and do what you enjoy: we want work to be something you look forward to.
  • Quality results in quantity: we care about excellence and attention to detail.
  • TEAM, Together everyone achieves more: collaboration is how we get our best results.
Come join us on our journey to create a trusted digital world.

About the role

In this role, you’ll build a profitable and sustainable products business alongside our domains portfolio. Your scope will include SSL certificates, Email and Plesk as commercial product lines, as well as the RCP (reseller control panel) journeys that enable our resellers to purchase, provision, manage and renew these products.

You’ll be accountable for their financial performance and quality, while managing supplier partnerships to keep our offering competitive and future-proof. The role reports to the Director of Product.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the SSL, Email and Plesk portfolio and P&L: positioning, assortment, pricing proposals (with Pricing and Finance), margin and lifecycle decisions from launch to sunset.

  • Own supplier partnerships with Certificate Authorities, our email platform provider and Plesk/WebPros: contracts, volume tiers, rebates, SLAs, roadmap alignment and escalations.

  • Grow adoption across our reseller base through cross-sell with domains and hosting, bundles, purchase journey placement and launches with Sales and Marketing.

  • Run product initiatives as structured projects, including supplier integrations, API changes and compliance changes such as CA/B Forum rules.

  • Shape the product roadmap with a commercial lens and partner with Engineering on delivery.

  • Track results against clear targets: margin and revenue per product line, attach and renewal rates, and on-time delivery of milestones and roadmap items.

What we are looking for

Competences

  • Hosting & Security Products Knowledge: Solid understanding of SSL/TLS certificates (DV/OV/EV, validation, CA/B Forum requirements and lifecycle changes), email hosting and anti-spam, and Plesk licensing and hosting control panels.

  • Supplier & Vendor Management: Negotiates commercial terms, volume tiers, rebates and SLAs; runs business reviews; manages supplier performance, dependency and contract risk.

  • Commercial & P&L Acumen: Builds business cases; understands pricing, margin, unit economics, cannibalisation and reseller incentive models.

  • Product Strategy & Roadmapping: Translates strategy into operational roadmaps for the RCP and the SSL, email and Plesk product lines.

  • Project & Programme Management: Plans and delivers multi-party projects with Engineering and suppliers: scope, milestones, dependencies, risk logs and stakeholder updates, within a strong Agile/EOS rhythm.

  • Data & Funnel Analytics: Instruments and analyses order, provisioning and renewal journeys; separates price effects from product effects.

  • AI Proficiency: Embeds AI tools across daily work - discovery, documentation, analysis, supplier communication and GTM.

How we work at Openprovider

  • Self-management: you own your time, priorities and results, and raise issues early.

  • Learning Agility and AI Literacy: you learn fast and use AI with confidence and good judgement.

  • Adaptive Innovation Mindset: you see change as a chance to improve and help others move forward positively.

  • Quality Orientation: you take pride in your work, test assumptions with facts and deliver results others can rely on.

  • Customer Focus: you understand who your work serves, including our resellers, and make decisions that create real value for them.

About us

Most resellers spend too much money and time on domains. With Openprovider and our Membership program, you can buy, renew, and transfer domains at cost price on one platform to become a more successful and profitable reseller.

We are a rapidly-growing, ICANN-accredited domain registrar and technology scale-up founded in 2004 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We understand the frustrations of wasting hours searching for new domains at fair prices; being hit by unexpected renewal costs after the first year; and losing customers because you can’t offer attractive bundles.

That’s why we built a platform to easily manage operations for over 1,900 domain extensions. We were the first to offer a Membership Program to get the domains you need at cost price, and we've been helping clients sell millions of domains for more than 20 years.

We have been fully remote since 2020, and our team has only expanded since then. Our team currently consists of 90+ employees, who are spread across 20+ different countries and 4 different continents. We are proud of our fun and diverse team and regularly connect with each other through online and offline events.
