About the role
We're not actively hiring for this role right now, but we're always happy to connect with strong candidates and talk about what the future could look like.
Account Managers at Openprovider own commercial expansion inside our existing customer base - growing revenue and margin through retention, upgrades, and product adoption, while reducing lifecycle friction and improving customer experience. This is not a passive account management role.

Key responsibilities
Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities across domains, security, and infrastructure products
Drive membership upgrades based on usage, complexity, and value realization
Actively build and manage an expansion pipeline, not just react to inbound demand
Proactively manage account health across onboarding, activation, usage, and renewal
Reduce churn by identifying risk early and acting before renewal moments
Increase attach rates of add-on products (SSL, DNS, email, etc.)
Ensure new customers reach operational usage quickly
Remove friction in onboarding, integration, and first transactions
Align onboarding with real customer use cases, not generic flows
Act as structured voice of the customer, not anecdotal
Feed recurring friction, feature gaps, and opportunities into Product and Marketing
Contribute to improving lifecycle flows, not just handling issues
Maintain high-quality CRM hygiene and forecasting
Use data to prioritise accounts and opportunities
Balance effort between high-value accounts and scalable growth
What we are looking for
Sees and acts on revenue opportunities within existing accounts, pushes for the deal without damaging trust
Customer Intelligence
Understands customer business models, not just their requests
Technical Understanding
Able to explain APIs, integrations, and infrastructure products in a practical, outcome-driven way
Communication
Clear, direct, and structured in both customer and internal conversations

About us
We are a rapidly-growing, ICANN-accredited domain registrar and technology scale-up founded in 2004 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We understand the frustrations of wasting hours searching for new domains at fair prices; being hit by unexpected renewal costs after the first year; and losing customers because you can’t offer attractive bundles.
That’s why we built a platform to easily manage operations for over 1,900 domain extensions. We were the first to offer a Membership Program to get the domains you need at cost price, and we've been helping clients sell millions of domains for more than 20 years.
We have been fully remote since 2020, and our team has only expanded since then. Our team currently consists of 110+ employees, who are spread across 25+ different countries and 4 different continents. We are proud of our fun and diverse team and regularly connect with each other through online and offline events.
